Following up the feedback from our users, Traders and Followers, we have decided to change what is shown under “Worst DrawDown” field on Trader’s Individual performance page.
Although calculation formula remains the same, we have changed what is shown on our website.
Why did we proceed with the change?
The percentage was irrationally huge in lower time frames (below 1 month). This could be misleading because users could consider this drawdown as a real percentage loss in their equity. However, this is not true and could result in preventing users to follow reliable and solid Traders.
Traders’ performance is displayed based on pips. This was unfair those Traders with insufficient trading history. The WDD will also be displayed in pips after 3 months of trading activity.
What has changed?
Worst DrawDown is displayed only in pips for timeframes: 1 day, 3 days, 1 week & 1 month
Worst DrawDown will be displayed in both pips and percentage for timeframes greater than 3 months.
For the rest of timeframes (3 months, 6 months, 1 year, Overall) nothing has changed
Worst DrawDown is available both in pips and percentage
