Market Recap – Taiwan Elections

The Boeing 747 that has been crashed outside Tehran is now attributed to Iranian missiles. This is no longer a non-paper suspicion. President Trudeau, the Canadian Prime Minister, offered a press conference on the issue.

Taiwan is heading to presidential elections tomorrow. Polls suggest that President Tsai Ing-wen is heading for a second term. Mrs. Tsai Ing-wen is not favoring closer ties with China.

Macro releases:  Today’s economic calendar includes the US Non-Farm Employment Change and US average hourly earnings. Market participants will make a health check with these two numbers.
